She lays there on the floor
Blade in hand,
Reliving what happened the night before.
She stumbles in an attempt to stand
And heads for the door

Half-way there she falls
And staggers into the bathroom
She remembers the sadness in these walls
There is a bad memory implanted in every room

Yelling and screaming echo from the hall
It’s the same argument, just a different night
She tries to ignore it all
So that everything will be alright

It’s too hard and she can’t this time
Silently weeping,
She takes several great swallows of wine
She’s not ready to let out the emotions she’s been keeping

She’s been hiding her secrets for too long
And the blade in her hand becomes an option again
Every scar on her arm is a symbol of all she’s done wrong
With the aid of the blade, a new wound is open

From the cut on her arm
A red river flows
The continuous leak triggers a mental alarm
Little by little she’s dying, and she knows
"I don't wanna die!"
to herself she cries

Darkness
She plunges to the floor

In the middle of a hospital room, she regains consciousness
How this happened? She’s not sure.

This is self harm,
This is what you don’t see
They all can see the scars on her arm
But not the pain deep beneath
Deeper than a scar
It’s the reason why they hear her cry
She finally tells herself, "It’s who you are
And they don’t know why"
